Signing Agent Certification Testing
Testing
to be classified as a "Certified Notary Signing Agent"
is processed through the Notary Learning Center. Professional Members have the
benefit of becoming a
"Certified Notary Signing Agent"
which is being required more and more by businesses utilizing notary signing agents.
Professional Members who have been certified, get our Notary Learning Center
Certification Emblem shown on their personalized web page.
You must keep your Professional Membership current to retain your
"Certified Notary Signing Agent" status.
Background Check Screening
Many real estate title companies are now or will be requiring that notary signing agents
submit to criminal background checks. This requirement is based on an interpretation of
laws and guidelines pertaining to privacy and the confidentiality of customer information.
We support the
"Notary Public Background Check"
Certification offered by the National Verification Registry. Professional Members who
have been screened, get our Notary Learning Center Certification Emblem and
Notary Public Background Check Logo shown on their personalized web page. There are
currently two active Notary Public Background Check certification levels.
